Technically she's pre-transition so her official files would say "male" I suppose? But she is for all intents and purposes a girl. So it can go either way depending on how hard you want to make her life. ;)

Heheh I was thinking of putting her in with the girls since from the outside no one would be able to tell otherwise and it would be bit weird for any guy getting 'girl' as a roommate. (and because I think something like that would be a lot easier for girl to accept overall... or maybe all guys I've known just happened to be narrow minded, who knows. *shrugs*)

Personality: Icon is nice for the most part; however should you try to deceive him and fail, it will be difficult to gain his trust back. He doesn't believe in 'I can't' and always believes there's another way to solve problems. He can be persuasive when needs be and is good at getting what he wants
Strong points: Using his hands to create things, being influential
Weak points: Room design, Boredom
Background: He and his family were on a vacation in the Caribbean one summer when he was 9, but their boat was caught in a bad storm and they all died except for him; miraculously he survived and came to an island - on Jamaica - specifically the area of Trelawny Parish. He was adopted by a family of farmers and taught the local fare. His abilities came about when he was in school and he had a bit of a hard time from some of the students. One of the teachers secretly had noticed this and met with him and his family one evening after dinner time and informed them of the Terces Academy. His mother, Siobhan, was reluctant to let him go; however, he was insistent upon going because he didn't wish to be troublesome to their family any longer. She told him that he would always be their son regardless.

At Terces, he focused his energy and soon discovered his true abilities, and figured out he could utilize them in combination with his Capoeira training he'd been taught, which impressed his teachers even more. He graduated with high honors, and after graduating for a while, he made his living off of his craft of pottery making; however, like with most things he stuck with for a while, he began to get bored. He thought about the academy and wondered if he could possibly come back as a teacher to pass on what he'd learned to the next generation and give them a better understanding as to why they had the abilities they did. As luck would have it, they were needing someone to be a health teacher, which he considered himself well-versed in such. He sent in his application and in no time heard back from the academy welcoming him back into the fold.

Special skills (both normal and magical): Photography & Concrete Manipulation (shoots out a shrapnel of concrete in a burst fire manner, can cover parts of the body in concrete like armour and can also travel around in the air using concrete thrusters.)

Interests: Geography, Photography, Journalism, Sports, Reading.
Likes: Kieran likes reading all about different cultures, as well as novels and maps. In his spare time he likes to play sports such as Tennis, Soccer and Swimming. Leaving his hobby photography what he is always doing especially when he goes around Europe for holidays or during the half terms.
Dislikes: Kieran dislikes people that assume they know it all, make him feel stupid, embarrasses him and cocky attitude when there is no need. In his first year he had a lot of fights and was always in trouble because of how he hated the way other students spoke to him. There was a time where the head threatened to expel him if he continues with the fights constantly.
Personality: friendly most of the time, paranoid, a bit of a book worm and will fight if he feels threatened. He uses his magic skills some times but not all the time as he only uses his skills if he needs to or must. With friends he treats them like his family members, always there for them and will always stick up for them unless they have back stabbed him.
Strong points: his geography skills, photo taking and his confident and making new friends.
Weak points: forgiving people that have let him down in the past, focusing too much on something particular.
Background: Kieran lived with his mother and sister before he headed to Terces. He was raised by his mother and his sister, who was 10 years older then him. His father died in a car accident after Kieran's 4th birthday so his mum and older sister helped each other raise him. Kieran was hard bringing as he was terrible in school, skipped lessons he hated, was in more fights then anything and always used his magic skills on students I'm his class. But his mum has enough and asked him if he was happy going to a normal school and if not she said that she gave him permission to come to Terces but that's if he wanted too. After a month of thinking about it he decided to go as he will be with students that will have powers like himself.
After sometime in Terces he used to be one of the hated students cause of the fights he was in, the teachers couldn't teach him and he just wouldn't sit down in class unless it was his favourite topics. After the head getting bored of his attitude and fights, she warned him that if he was to continue this behaviour she would have to expel him for the safety of the other students and teachers. So Kieran decided to focus on the topics he liked and just study on those topics basically pull is self together. As the months went he was still in fights but with bullies and he was never caught, he made a bunch of friends and one teacher helped him and listened to all his problems and help solve them.

Special skills (both normal and magical): Cheerleader and Smoke Manipulation (She suddenly gains the capacity to shoot smoke out of her hands, or even turn into smoke and travel quickly around through the use of air ducts.)

Interests: Fashion, Models, Textiles, Swimming, Hair & Beauty, Cheerleading
Likes: Madison is a girl who likes reading her fashion magazines and gossip magazines especially in classes. Also she enjoys giving out beauty advise or giving girls hair cuts. Now that the school has a newly built gym, Madison tends to be in there, well swimming in the swimming pool on her free days. Cheerleading through the week.
Dislikes: Madison hates when people take her attention away from her, only use her cause she is popular and wannabe attention seekers. She also dislikes snitches, other students that tell a teacher what she has done or what she is doing. As she don't get along with teachers as it is she don't need them in her personal life.
Personality: Once your within her group of girls (which only tend to be four) you are her best friend but if your not in her group you are classed as a nobody. She is really friendly but if she don't like the look of a person or the way they are then she will act as if your a brick wall, a nobody. With Madison she is a good laugh, always has a fun and is always there for her girlfriends. When it comes to boyfriends, they need to be good looking for her to approach them (basically she goes for good looking men and friends with gorgeous girls).
Strong points: her strong points are her hair skills, she is know for the hair dresser in the academy. She is a strong swimmer and seriously enjoys swimming and her magic skills too are one of her strong points. She is the captain of the cheerleading squad.
Weak points: focusing in class, studying and liking someone easily, she needs a good few weeks for her to warm up with someone.
Background: Madison comes from a wealthy family were her mother and father always spoiled her in clothes or anything she wanted. Her mother was a hairdresser and her father was a multimillionaire in business so Madison had a easy life at home but in school it wasn't easy for her. For her magical powers people used to call her a freak, a demon child or a devil worshiping bitch. But she wasn't any of those, she hated evil in school until a girl hit her and then that's when her powers came out. Absorbing air ducts she shoots it out of her hand cause the girl to go flying back, she was unstoppable after and decided to just teleport out of school.
After what happened im school she decided to wonder around the city crying that she wasn't normal. Hating herself and her powers. She finds a flyer for Terces and researches more of it in a public library. Returning home she gathered her things and decided to get a private jet to Terces. Taking her fathers bank cards, 8 Suitcases full of things and she writes a letter explaining she is going to be staying at Terces where she will feel normal.
After a year in Terces she had built a reputation for herself of being a hair dresser in the academy and being one of the most popular girls in the school. She loves her stay in Terces and loves the attention she is getting. Yes sometimes she gets in trouble and etc but not everyone is a golden child?

Family members: Parents who she does not get along with, little sister
Occupation: Freeloader at Ada's place atm.
Special skills (both normal and magical): Can teleport and turn invisible. Normal skills she is good at kick-boxing and Han Mu Do. Has background for working years at bar so she also has good skills with handling annoying people.
Element: Smoke
Interests: Currently she's mostly interested in how to provide her sister better future.
Likes: Dancing & boxing and anything else sporty that allows her to move her whole body.
Dislikes: Showing weakness and admitting that she can't do everything alone. Strict rules.
Personality: Shin appears carefree and cheerful but that's mostly to hide how she truly feels inside.
Strong points: Physically strong and not afraid to work hard to reach her goals
Weak points: But she mentally crumbles easily and falls to depression and loses her confidence. She does have awesome ability to hide that behind smile and acting carefree though.
Background: If she learned anything from life it is that life isn't always fair to everyone and that she apparently has done something horrible in her past lives since she seems to always have such bad luck. When she found out that she has a sister she was furious at first, how could her own father have another family elsewhere!? But when she first met with Asha she realized that she felt just as cheated by the whole thing as she did so they bonded quickly over their mutual hatred of shitty father. Despite their age gap they actually get along perfectly and very quickly started feeling like they had known their whole life. Soon after she took Asha to live with her she however lost her job when her work place burned down so unable to provide shelter to her only sibling she turned to Ada hoping she'd accept Asha to Terces. When that worked out she was still left to figure out how she'd handle everything in her own life....

Interests: Music, old cartoons, she can sing every song from Jem and the Holograms, speaks fluent Smurf and can quote most My Little Pony episodes and let's not even get started on Disney...
Likes: Crazy colors (in hair, clothes, makeup, decorations....) current favorite is pink. Older dance music, she could pretty much life and breath 1990's music if that just was possible. Singing.
Dislikes: Anything she feels as threat to her sister, people disliking her fashion sense - it's not her fault everyone else is so afraid of bright colors!
Personality: Asha is pretty down to earth person.
Strong points: Reliable, confident and easy to get along with - if you just manage getting past her wild makeup that seems to scare most people away or make them think she's some kind of weirdo...
Weak points: When you anger her she will be angry until the end of the time.
Background: She knew her daddy traveled a lot and often was gone for months at once but it was fine since she still always had her mom and eventually dad always returned too and they lived like normal family. When her mother got seriously sick and soon after died she got sent to her closest relative, her own father only to find out that this man she had loved so dearly as her parent actually had whole other family there and his real wife didn't appreciate having new step daughter the least. When she met with her half-sister for the first time at first she was filled with hate and she could feel her thinking the same but as they actually got to talking they both realized that they were angry at their shared father rather than at each other and they quickly bonded over that. Asha moved to her sister's tiny apartment when the abuse of her stepmother got too much for her to handle and things worked out for a while - until Shin lost her job that was. Asha did suggest that she'd just find a job too and they'd somehow together pay the bills and continue living but Shin was determined that she deserved something better. She had never even heard of Terces when Shin took her there but apparently that would be her new home for next few years. Still she secretly plans to get part-time job or few so she can help her sister out.

OT: I ended up writing an NPC by the name of Jörg in order come up with a somewhat okayish comeback ... We can always go ahead and have the dorm manager putting somebody else in there though.

Personality: She's a sweet girl, energetic, although happens to be a bit clumsy at times - thus the reason for her dancing (for elegance), and loves having friends!
Strong points: Making potions from plants for various reasons, Growing/Healing plants
Weak points: Being able to defend and fight at the same time
Background: The Hombrebueno household is under the duty of being the guardians of their small town in Mexico; however, it would seem that the guardianship only happens every 2-3 generations and it's only the WOMEN of the family that possess that ability. At first, she thought the lineage would die with her when her daughter only produced boys at first, but finally after her third pregnancy, she finally produced a girl!

To properly prepare her for what was to come when she was older, the grandmother took her to a secluded area to train her to keep from being distracted. She did notice, though, that even though she had great potential, she was a bit on the clumsy side. To keep her form, she had her learn dance, which did seem to help, although she was still a bit clumsy - but not as much.

When Flora reached 16 years, her grandmother told her there wasn't much more she could teach her about her abilities or what more there would be to come for her, and thus she informed her about Terces, and she soon left thereafter.

Weak points: His 'dark side' which is usually triggered when he hooks up with the wrong crowd. Background: Jörg is the descendant of an industrialist family, he grew up sheltered, without ever having to worry about money but his parents also raised him to be a cultured, polite person and had him working in the factory during his holidays so he would learn to look at things from the perspective of a simple worker before he would take over the company one day. "Never forget that these walls are based on their sweat - so keep them working but also make sure that they have a decent life thanks to their efforts," was what his father always told him.

Personality: Mallory is usually a kind person who tries to get along with people and stay out of trouble. She doesn't like cliquism though so she often had a hard time to find the right people to hang out with in the past.
Strong points: She's persistent; when she starts a new project, she will work hard on it until it's done without letting problems bring her down.
Weak points: When her feelings get hurt, it's hard for her to open to anybody and seek for a shoulder/an ear.
Background: [WIP] Mallory grew up in a middle-class family; her parents had a small house in the suburbs, her mother worked as a nurse in the local hospital, her father was a freelance journalist, she has an older sister who's a professional athlete nowadays and a younger brother who studies at a normal school and wants to become a lawyer once.
Mallory got to know that she's 'special' during her early high-school years; she was bullied a lot because she was suffering from acne breakouts back then. At some point, things became so bad that hate began to grow inside that otherwise so peaceful heart. One sunny day, she sat in her bedroom crying like she had done countless times before and moaned almost unconsciously, "I wish they'd all die." - A terrible accident happened on the annual fair the very same day, killing over a hundred people among them was certain clique from her school. The police never solved this mysterious incident and Mallory thought of it as a pure coincidence but the evidences that her thoughts had some sort of influence on the happenings around her grew on and on...
