That didn't really sound good at all. She might have had her problems with her remaining family but her problems definitely weren't on this scale...
Asha smiled slightly, "You'll warm up soon enough." She hummed a song stuck in her head for a short moment before adding, "Oh yeah, Shin said that I should tell you and others here that if you didn't bring winter coat with you when you arrived, around now is good idea to ask your family to sent it over because winter here comes very fast and its gonna be cold. I guess she'd know what she's talking about since she spend so many years here when she was younger."
As they had walked and talked they had reached the cafeteria but it wasn't open yet so they ended just hanging around nearby. There was another dark haired girl already waiting too. She seemed to be alone and she first almost walked over just to say hi so she wouldn't feel like they were ignoring her but she seemed to be drawing something and very concentrated on that so she decided against it. "So what kind of guy did your father try to get you married to?" She asked Sabre curiously.
Sabre chuckled shaking her head "Oh don't worry. I have plenty of warm clothes; yeah I know the seasons are changing and whatnot; I just chose badly today is all" she stuck out her tongue.
She sighed "Some ivy league snob that thought I didn't have a mind of my own, which of course he got more than he bargained for let's just say," she smirked. "So how is Shin by the way? She doing ok?"

Alex sat in his room, going over the new melody to a song in his head. It'd been stuck there for a while. He sighed putting the guitar down as he got up and walked over to the window looking outside at the cool morning. He'd just come back from his hometown having gotten a letter from the orphanage he was in hearing that the lady that ran it died of a heart attack. He felt an obligation to be there, considering she was the one who urged him to come here and hone his talent. It was good to see his "siblings" again, and he'd been asked to dedicate a song to her, remembering her dedication to her work.
Suddenly, a melody hit him as he began to sing to no one in particular...*
I've seen it all a thousand times
Falling down I'm still alive, am I? Am I?
So hard to breathe when the water's high
No need to swim I'll learn to fly, so high, so high
You find the truth in a child's eyes
When the only limit is the sky
Living proof I see myself in you...
