Terces Academy Roleplay Thread (this is where the game is)

"Hm, this is actually surprisingly good." Emit nodded as he continued to eat his meat. It was perfect and seriously amazing, surprisingly for canteen food you expect something scooped out a pot and thrown onto a tray in front of you. After he finishes he places his knife and fork onto the plate and said "that was excellent, I am going to love it here, let's hope it don't change when the other students come," he laughed.
Before he went to talk more he noticed someone walking towards their table then, "Oh hi Alexander!" Noir responded as the boy came close.
"So I am guessing you know each other?" He thought as he eyed down the other boy.
"I thought that was you, Noir," Alexander nodded. "Nice to see you again" he glanced over at his companion. "So did you two go on the tour?" He asked.
"Yeah we finished moments ago I guess and now just finished our food," Emit nodded watching the boy.
Noir nodded in response. Another guy called out after Alexander who waved him over to join them. "Your companion? Doesn't look like he appreciated you leaving him behind, maybe we should just combine our tables. Don't they say the more the merrier?"
That's true emit thought as he looks around at the chairs. Getting up from his seat he moves a chair closer to his table whilst the other boy gets another one.
"Hey mate want to come join us over here?" Emit yells at the Alexander's roommate.


"Ava wait," Sabre calls out and Ava stops and waits for the girl to catch up with her. After the girl caught up Ava asks, "why didn't you stay?" I didn't want to disturb you from your reading. So did you research what you was looking for?" She smiles at Sabre

Sabre scratched the side of her face a bit "Ah well, it wasn't really leading anywhere fast, and it's just something casual anyway, so I can pick it up another time. I am a bit tired though," she stifled a yawn. "It's been a pretty long day. I think I'll probably lie down for a bit when we get back. How about you? Did you find what you were looking for?" Sabre wondered as they continued walking.

Sabre scratched the side of her face a bit "Ah well, it wasn't really leading anywhere fast, and it's just something casual anyway, so I can pick it up another time. I am a bit tired though," she stifled a yawn. "It's been a pretty long day. I think I'll probably lie down for a bit when we get back. How about you? Did you find what you were looking for?"
As they continued to walk ahead Ava responded, "yeah I think it's a good idea as I feel sleepy as well. And about the researching yeah I found out some interesting things about potions and spells. Also had a good browse about looking at the different books but I found this weird looking book it was covered in blood?"
As Ava finished talking they arrive in front of their room, walking she throws herself on her bed.
"Omg I need a good sleep now," she yawned taking off her shoes.

As they continued to walk ahead Ava responded, "yeah I think it's a good idea as I feel sleepy as well. And about the researching yeah I found out some interesting things about potions and spells. Also had a good browse about looking at the different books but I found this weird looking book it was covered in blood?"
As they arrived to their room, Ava threw herself across the bed, removing her shoes "Omg I need a good sleep now," she yawned.

Sabre cringed. "Ew...I hope it wasn't a forbidden book or anything. Why would they have such a thing out where anyone could get it?" she sat down on her bed, taking off her shoes, then snapped her fingers instantly changing her clothes as she slipped under the covers. "Goodnight. Pleasant dreams," she smiled, closing her eyes and was asleep almost instantaneously.

Sabre cringed. "Ew...I hope it wasn't a forbidden book or anything. Why would they have such a thing out where anyone could get it?" she sat down on her bed, taking off her shoes, then snapped her fingers instantly changing her clothes as she slipped under the covers. "Goodnight. Pleasant dreams," she smiled, closing her eyes and was asleep almost instantaneously.
"Goodnight," Ava whispered as she changed in to her night dress.
After getting changed she walks to window slowly and looks outside, she notices a boy rushing around clawing at his face.
"This school will have so many mysterious people," she thought to herself as she then notices the big lake behind the garden. Do I dare to go near it? But I wonder if there is my type of creatures living within the water. She places on her military boots and grabs a jacket but also trying to be as quiet as possible not to wake her room mate up. Ava then slowly grabs her keys and walks out closing the door ever so slowly so it wouldn't wake Sabre up.
As she left the the building she slowly makes her way through the gardens and towards the lake. She starts to hum one of her songs as she gets closer and closer to the lake, hearing voices coming from inside the lake.
"Come join us deep down within the lake. We won't hurt you, we just want to play!" The voices sang. Ava started to sing as she walks, taking off a shoe at a time she slowly steps into the water. As soon as the water touches her skin, her skin starts to become silvery scales, she looked like she was covered in sequins. But her skin was to only go like this if she was to sing whilst in water.
Her body was half way in the lake as she stopped singing and heard something behind her. She glanced back, her skin turning back to as it was and she comes out the water. Picking up her boots she looks back and hears more voices
"Come join us!" "Let them know the truth, you don't belong on land," Ava runs and runs as fast as she can away from the lake, away from the building and into the woods.
"Who are these voices and what do you want from me!" She screams closing her eyes as she stands alone in the forest. Hearing a man continually scream in her thoughts she let's out a screech so loud it covered the island.

They didn’t seem to have heard him. Just as well, really, didn’t bother him at all. One of the boys at the table Alex had wandered off to called over to him though, "Hey mate want to come join us over here?"
Andy grinned in response and stood, making both of their trays follow behind him.
“Dude, next time warn a guy before jumping up and basically running away from me. I know I get annoying sometimes but that just hurts,” he said grinning, hand over his heart in mock despair. “Also, maybe don’t forget your food next time?” He made the trays set down on the table and sat down next to the others. “I’m Andy, I’m the roommate as you may have been informed. And who would you be, my dear gentlemen?” he asked the two boys.






Elyssa giggled bit, "It doesn't have to be that big to be just big enough to get lost there. Trust me, I'm professional at that!"
Max looked at her. “So you get lost often then?” she asked quietly. She obviously still wasn’t up to par because she related to that. Not physically, more mentally … feeling lost was something she was so very familiar with. Lost and alone and like the waves were crashing down on her … she shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts and tried for a smile. She hoped it wouldn’t seem too faint.

Emit looked at Andy before replying, "I am Emit, nice to meet you and Noir is my roommate," looking at Noir.

Aisling let out an exaggerated sigh but nodded replying dramatically, "Well if you must leave, go ahead, leave me." Her father rolled his eyes thinking she had seen too many romantic drama movies clearly. "Don't pay attention to what she's saying, she just loves attention." He led Icon to the kitchen where Ada greeted them with a smile, "Perfect timing, I just got everything set. Sit in whichever chair you'd like to~" she gestured towards their unnecessary big table where she had set trays of cookies, cupcakes, sandwiches and other treats just waiting to be eaten. Haine smirked amused seeing Icon's surprised expression, "My wife, the overachiever."

Icon chuckled as he was led by Haine to the kitchen and completely taken aback seeing all the food Ada had prepared. She'd fixed enough to feed a small army, not just 3 adults. "M-my goodness," he said eyeing the food and seeing some chocolate chip cookies, which were his absolute favorite; although he hadn't really eaten except for that morning before he was transported to the island so he took a sandwhich and couple of the cookies before settling in right between where he could see both Haine and Ada. "Thanks for the food, Ada" he nodded.

[OMG I'm such an idiot! I knew this was here and I totally forgot. Forgive me for holding this part of the play up? ^^;;;;]

"Yes MOTHER," Alexander stuck his tongue out at the other boy, returning to his food. "And to correct you, no you're not annoying - except when you nag like that, and furthermore, I did say 'excuse me' before I left the table," he pointed his fork towards him.

Alex shrugged. "He needs to have patience. I only left to make sure it was you first. He's like a puppy sometimes" he sighed a bit exasperated. "If I were wrong I would've returned immediately having corrected myself," he shrugged, then excused himself to get some more chairs. "Hey mate want to come join us over here?" Emit yelled at the Alexander's roommate who got up floating both trays with him as he wandered over there. Wow.

Max looked at her. “So you get lost often then?” she asked quietly. Elyssa laughed bit, "All the damn time, especially when I'm around places I supposedly know. I have tendency to get lost in my thoughts and keep walking until I snap out of it and realize I have no clue where I am anymore."





"M-my goodness," Icon said eyeing the food taking a sandwhich and couple of the cookies before settling in right between where he could see both Haine and Ada. "Thanks for the food, Ada" he nodded. Ada smiled, "I hope you enjoy it~" Haine looked thoughtful, "You did make way too much though." Ada shook her head, "I have a feeling we'll get more visitors soon so I'm just prepared enough." And their kids literally ate everything given to them so she didn't really see any leftovers as problem.... She looked at Icon, "Say I did glance your papers through and noticed you were a student here. We're about same age so we could have been classmates without even realizing it. I was really shy and withdrawn back then though so I doubt we ever talked."

Ada smiled, "I hope you enjoy it~" Haine looked thoughtful, "You did make way too much though." Ada shook her head, "I have a feeling we'll get more visitors soon so I'm just prepared enough." She looked at Icon, "Say I did glance your papers through and noticed you were a student here. We're about same age so we could have been classmates without even realizing it. I was really shy and withdrawn back then though so I doubt we ever talked."

Icon smiled. "It's possible. Not to mention I spent a lot of time alone myself," he said taking a bite of one of the sandwiches. He listened to Haine worry a bit about the amount of food, but he figured that Ada knew what she was doing. It was always a good thing to be prepared just in case his mother always told him. "What were the focus of both of your studies? Mine was mostly just on control and focus. Before I came to Terces, there was one incident that occurred that shouldn't have, but it was mostly the other person's fault for trying to pick on me. You see...I was adopted by the family I'm with now, but the town that they lived in didn't accept newcomers so easily and so I had a bit of a rough time at school there. So, one day, this one group of kids thought they'd be smart and try to jump me, but that turned out to be the biggest mistake for them because I hadn't discovered my powers at the time, and when the event happened it was almost like a dream and I couldn't believe it actually happened. All I can tell you is that when they came for me, it was like I blacked out and then when I came too...they were all unconscious on the ground around me. Some had burns, some scrapes. I was scared and I ran home and told my mother what happened. I didn't realize that one of the teachers had seen the incident from a distance. There was a bit of a roar at the school about it, but the way it was explained is that they were being punished by the island gods for picking on an innocent. Either way, I was expelled from the school so that would appease most of the families. I was depressed for days, until that one evening when that same teacher showed up and from there as they say...the rest is history" he shrugged.

Icon smiled. "It's possible. Not to mention I spent a lot of time alone myself," he said taking a bite of one of the sandwiches. "What were the focus of both of your studies? For me though my parents both have magical skills so they were always prompting me to find mine and I had pretty good control over them before I even entered the first grade in grade school." She smiled, "I ended up studying here since my parents studied here too and it was also where they met for the first time and fell in love and... maybe I kind of hoped I'd find romance like theirs." She giggled bit, "And I did, eventually." She smiled, "I started my studies here seeking for power so I focused in stuff like summoning and curses as well as fortunetelling. Then stuff happened and I realized that I'd be much more useful if I knew how to heal so I changed my main subject to learn that instead." Haine shrugged, "I just studied whatever felt like the easiest and least hassle. I did take quite lot lessons in combat magic since it was useful to me back then... this island used to have tons of monsters back then and while my father couldn't run around hunting them down he sent me to do that in his place. Fun times." Ada's expression darkened, they indeed had been 'fun'. She never knew if he'd return in one piece or not and ultimately that had been the reason she had changed to study healing instead. She tilted her head looking at Icon thoughtful, "There is one thing you might recognize me from though, I was pregnant with Aion during my last year here and it was pretty.... scandalous to say at least." She was pretty sure whole school knew about that back then.

Does that have something to do with you getting the position you have now?" he wondered. Ada giggled bit, "I always had good relationship with Aeth and well, he is the grandpa of our kids so maybe that did have something to do with it." Haine rolled his eyes, "Having kids with me had nothing to do with it, if anything in dad's eyes that was a very bad move that ruined your future. He accepted you as his follower because he trusted you wouldn't fail this school." Ada looked at Haine thoughtful, "It's true that having kids so early did prevent me from becoming a teacher like I had planned but I really wouldn't trade what we have for that. I'm perfectly happy with my life as it is now." Haine looked surprised then bit embarrassed and she chuckled bit, "No really, I have perfect husband, four beautiful kids and lovely house, what more could I possibly ask for? Of course it would be nice if I still got all the teachers to support me and my ideals about how to make this school better place so things at work would be nicer too but for now I'm perfectly happy as things are." That was something she could say from the heart. "Please have another sandwich. And should I pour you more coffee?" She asked Icon smiling.

Let them know the truth, you don't belong on land

Ava runs and runs as fast as she can away from the lake, away from the building and into the woods.

"Who are these voices and what do you want from me!" She screams closing her eyes as she stands alone in the forest. Hearing a man continually scream in her thoughts she let's out a screech so loud it covered the island.

Sabre woke abruptly from her sleep looking around. "Ava, did you hear that?"

Silence.

"Ava?!" Sabre looked in the other bed to find the other girl gone. "Oh my god..." Where could she have gone? She quickly changed and began searching for the other girl.

'Please be safe...' she said running down the corridors.
