Terces Academy Roleplay Thread (this is where the game is)

He took the key he’d been given and nodded his thanks when the red-haired teacher came over and took his attention. Better be on his way then … he wondered if his roommate was already there.

Turns out he wasn’t. Andy looked around the room before making his backpack float onto the upper bed. It seemed … stuffy. His parents had always been fans of high ceilings and white … well, everything. This certainly was different from home. Ah well, no matter. He left his luggage where it was, in front of the wardrobe, and climbed up on the bed, searching for his Ipod. He’d already decided not to go to that tour later, he’d much rather discover things himself – so much more fun that way. He’d probably get horribly lost but that was a risk he was more than willing to take.

His new roommate arrived some time later, who was seemingly tentative to enter the room. "Hello? Anyone home?" Andy sat up with a grin and ditched the headphones. He jumped off the bed, landing with a lot less grace than he would have liked. Note to self: jumping from top bunks is an incredibly terrible idea.
“Right, I totally should not have done that. Bad, bad idea,” he said, rubbing his ankle before moving towards the stranger. “Anyway, hi. I’m Andy, and I’m guessing you’re the other occupant here. Nice to meet you, I hope you don’t mind I took the top bunk! I mean, we can switch if you want, after all this is gonna be both of our room. Our lair, you might say … and I’m rambling, so let’s just stick to hi, shall we?” He grinned again, offering his hand in greeting.

Alex was a bit surprised seeing the guy who was his roommate jump down all of the sudden the way he did. "I promise I wasn't going to vanish man. Might want to take the ladder down next time, eh?" he grinned and shook his hand. "My names Alexander. Nice to meet you and no I'm not picky on sleeping accommodations," he said entering the room fully with his bag and guitar case and looked around setting them down. "Nice shit here they've got," he nodded. "So...this your first year here, or...?" he wondered.

"A dream. If I was to draw my dreams I think they would look weird,"Ava laughed as she lays back down. "I don't know why but my dreams I have are weird and tend to have some sort of mermaids in...."Ava stopped there for a moment looking worried as she sits up and then quickly changed topic. "Oh look the tour has finally come out! Do you think they will notice us if we wave at them?" She laughed as she waved at the students.
After waving at the other students she got up from the blanket, looking at Sabre and asked "Are you hungry? Cause I seriously am," she giggled.

Mermaids? That seemed peculiar to Sabre, but once again, the girl would stop in mid-sentence whenever she would get on a certain topic. She wasn't much into mythology, but it did seem like something to research on later.

Sabre had to laugh. Ava was seriously hilarious and glanced over at the one dark-haired guy who seemed to have taken notice. She couldn't tell if he was confused or put off from Ava's sudden waving at them, then looked over at her friend having gotten to her feet asking if she was hungry. "Sure thing, but after that, how about we try to find the library. I need to research something I've been curious about for a bit" she said. "And don't worry, it doesn't have anything to do with school; just something for my own person" she got up as well folding the blanket and getting her sketchbook & supplies

"No, I wouldn't dare allow this fair maiden to ever come to any harm" he grinned, then got to his feet holding out his hand for a handshake. "Icon White. You must be Ada's husband, and father to Aisling & Heath? Nice to meet you" Haine grinned, "Good answer and yes I'd be their dad, Haine." He scratched his neck, "Ada told me to call you to kitchen, the coffee's ready."




Max shook her head, averting her eyes. “No, it’s … um, it’s just Max, not short for anything.” Elyssa smiled, "Okay Max then. Short names are easier to remember anyway. I'd tell you to call me with something shorter too but it's hard to come up with nicknames for 'Elyssa'."



As they walk past the fields some random girl waved at their group. Emit looked at him asking "do you know them girls waving at you?" Noir shook his head, "As far as I'm aware I don't know anyone here from before."

Haine grinned, "Good answer and yes I'd be their dad, Haine." He scratched his neck, "Ada told me to call you to kitchen, the coffee's ready."

"Ok," he looked over at Aisling. "Do you mind if I get to know your parents a bit? You can finish showing me your monsters in a bit, I promise" he smiled.

Noir shook his head, "As far as I'm aware I don't know anyone here from before." Emit then looked back at the girls and they we're packing up, "maybe they are just fooling around," he replied as they then continued to move forward and towards the canteen.


"Sure thing, but after that, how about we try to find the library. I need to research something I've been curious about for a bit" she said. "And don't worry, it doesn't have anything to do with school; just something for my own person" she got up as well folding the blanket and getting her sketchbook & supplies
"Yeah that's perfectly fine I need to see what the library is like, I wonder if it's antique looking or modern," she said as she helped the girl and took the blanket off her.

Sabre looked thoughtful for a moment before speaking. "Well, from what I've seen of this school so far, probably a hybrid of the two. Just tasteful enough to make students somewhat interested in going in there to study...or whatever," Sabre guessed as they started heading towards the canteen.

(Trip was quite a lot more fun than I thought it would be actually, despite being somewhat … um, senseless in terms of actual content pertaining to the seminar ;D)

Nice for them, I suppose but it is a little unfair, don’t you think? Having to go to school a week earlier than anybody else just because you’re new? I mean, what if we had important things planned during that week? Not that I did but you know what I mean.” His gaze finally settled on Alexander’s guitar case. “So, you play guitar, do you? That’s awesome! Can you play any cool songs? I mean, you probably can, but … oh, you know, something not many people can do or something?” He half-smiled, scratching the back of his neck.






"Okay Max then. Short names are easier to remember anyway. I'd tell you to call me with something shorter too but it's hard to come up with nicknames for 'Elyssa'." Max blinked. She … hadn’t asked. She thought it was ‘easier’. That was … something. She’d never felt about her name in any way particular even though she knew a lot of people like her changed theirs. It was just … part of her, much as anything else. Just one more part of the illusion of a complete person.
“I’m sure there is some way to shorten it,” she replied quietly, “maybe somebody here will think of something.” A look at the watch told her she should probably get ready for that tour they were supposed to go on. “I think we should go or we might miss the tour.” She looked at Elyssa questioningly, waiting for her reply.

Alex couldn't help but chuckle. Andy was quite the nervous type it seemed, which that could be a good or bad thing depending on the situation he had to speculate. "Oh, is that how it works? They punish us new students making us come earlier than the rest eh?" he grinned, kidding of course. Hearing Andy ask about his guitar, he answered "Part of my power is through my voice, but only when I need it to be. I can use it to heal or hurt. Like your ankle, I could simply hum a simple melody and it'd be ok" he explained. "Music is what pretty much saved me from a life full of anger...music and a kind woman who put her own hope and dreams into me" a wistful smile crossed his lips as he thought of Ms. Baron and hoped she was still doing ok. He did promise to communicate with her from time to time and let her know how she was doing. Coming out of his thoughts, he looked at Andy "What abilities do you have?"

"Well, from what I've seen of this school so far, probably a hybrid of the two. Just tasteful enough to make students somewhat interested in going in there to study...or whatever,"
Ava shrugged her shoulders and they both continued to walk to the canteen as they talk and got to know each other more.
As they enter the canteen, Ava's eyes widen and yells, "Oh my good this canteen looks like a 5 star restaurant, this looked nothing like the flyers." Ava then walked over to one of the chairs placing the blanket onto the chair.
"So what are you going to eat?" Asking sabre as she grabs a menu.

(Ignore the kitchen part as I seriously hate how I made it, will be making it when I am home)

"Ok," he looked over at Aisling. "Do you mind if I get to know your parents a bit? You can finish showing me your monsters in a bit, I promise" he smiled. Aisling let out exaggerated sigh but nodded replying dramatically, "Well if you must leave, go ahead, leave me." Haine rolled his eyes, she had seen too many romantic drama movies clearly. "Don't pay attention to what she's saying, she just loves attention." He let Icon to the kitchen where Ada greeted them with a smile, "Perfect timing, I just got everything set. Sit to whichever chair you'd like to~" she gestured towards their unnecessary big table where she had set trays of cookies, cupcakes, sandwiches and other treats just waiting to be eaten. Haine smirked amused seeing Icon's surprised expression, "My wife, the overachiever."





Emit then looked back at the girls and they we're packing up, "maybe they are just fooling around," he replied as they then continued to move forward and towards the canteen. He shrugged, "Beats me really." He wasn't exactly interested in the girls, or rather he was fully aware that he wasn't interesting to girls. That wasn't a problem in his mind since he liked avoiding anything that would be extra hassle for him.





“I’m sure there is some way to shorten it,” Max replied quietly, “maybe somebody here will think of something.” Elyssa grinned, maybe that would happen yeah. It would be first time anyone would give her a nickname too. “I think we should go or we might miss the tour.” Max said after glancing to a swatch and she nodded, "Oh it's that much already? Let's go then." She agreed. Maybe they would get along just fine after all. They just needed to get to know each other bit better first.

Music is what pretty much saved me from a life full of anger...music and a kind woman who put her own hope and dreams into me.” Andy noted the wistful expression on his face but didn’t comment on it. Some people liked privacy and all that.
“That’s pretty damn cool actually, would you mind doing that? That jump was most definitely not one of my finest moments but sometimes I just act before thinking … possibly a lot of times. I should do something about that at some point, once I’m old and respectable,” Andy replied. He got a feeling Alexander was lost in thought.
"What abilities do you have?"
Andy shrugged with a grin, making his luggage fly up and turn over itself. “You know, stuff. Useful stuff. Mischievous stuff, if you’re inclined that way,” he explained, “Mostly just telekinesis but I’ve got this shield thing that saves my ass sometimes. Can’t really control it but I know because I almost got hit by a car once. Or, well, scratch the almost. I did get hit, it just didn’t hurt as much as it should have.” Ah, fun times.






"Oh it's that much already? Let's go then." Elyssa agreed and they headed out.

There were very few people in the main hall when they arrived, and there weren’t many more coming. Max looked around in confusion. She’d thought this was mandatory. Finally the headmaster got up and cleared her throat. "Okay I guess this is everyone who's going to attend the school tour, I don't think we have to even divide into smaller groups as this is few people enough already,” she said smiling brightly, "We'll start the tour in the school part of the building, then head outside and after that finally see the social spaces and other important places and end the tour to the canteen. After that you're free to go as you wish for the rest of the night. I hope you enjoy the tour~" It was followed by the teacher that had done the registration standing up and pretty much pushing them into a bundle.
” Come on now you lot we cant waste anymore time I have things to do, mark work and set up for introduction in my first lesson with you all.” Max looked around uncomfortably. Due to the pushing one of the other students had brushed against her, making her breath hitch. She tamped down on the slight panic she could feel creeping up and took a deep breath. It would all be okay.

The tour was just a tad overwhelming. Her last school had been small, too small by some measures, and thus pretty much the polar opposite of this. How would she work here? Fit in? Avoid getting people conspicuous? The panic was back again, she just needed a minute, she just …
“I’m sorry, I think I need – I’ll just get some air,” she said to Elyssa before practically running from the other people.

The tour through the building was pretty interesting, she hadn't even realized there was so much space inside. Max seemed somehow rather uncomfortable through the whole tour but she didn't think too much of it. “I’m sorry, I think I need – I’ll just get some air,” Max suddenly said before running away. Elyssa blinked surprised but she had never been someone who left people alone to deal with their problems so she headed after her. It took her a short while to find where she had run to but when she did she looked at her worried, "Are you okay?"

She found her way outside, breathing deeply. Her vision was still blurry when she sank to the ground and tried to get air into her lungs. She knew it was a panic attack, intellectually, and that there was little to do but ride it out but the pain of her lungs constricting desperately, everything within her seemingly revolting was still scary. She curled into a ball and willed it to go away.
"Are you okay?" It was Elyssa’s voice that surprised her out of her reverie. She looked up into the girl’s face, obviously worried and only felt worse.
“I – yes, I’m … fine. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I just – I’m sorry.” She knew technically it was nothing to be ashamed about but mind and feelings were not always in line with each other. God, she hated being like this.

Max looked up to her, “I – yes, I’m … fine. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I just – I’m sorry.” Elyssa knelt down in front of her, "You don't have to be sorry about anything." She replied calmly although she just really couldn't understand why she was apologizing in the first place. She smiled reaching to pet her head trying to comfort her, "Should I go ask for paper bag for you to breathe in? ... or wait was that what you were supposed to do when you have hiccup?" She wasn't really sure.

He shrugged, "Beats me really."
Emit bursts out laughing! "Brilliant answer! Who cares right? Emit then calms down as they all enter the canteen.
"Wow slightly fancy for a canteen." Emit shouts out
The red Baird teacher hears and replies, "We'll after all this school is worth the make over and also want it suitable and comfortable for our students? Aren't I write sir Emit? She replied as she continues to lead the way.
"How I'm earth does she know my name?" Emit looked surprised for a moment.
