Terces Academy Roleplay Thread (this is where the game is)

Ada was still wasting time with Heath in the hall and had even gotten a chance to answer few student questions while there so she was in quite good spirits. When the front door opened she lifted her eyes up and smiled brightly, this man, she remembered him! While it was Aeth who had done the job interview while she had observed it had actually been her who had decided that he'd be a good teacher and talked Aeth over to hire him. She had never imagined that she'd become his boss so soon though.

She smiled at him, "Hey, can I help you with something?" She asked picking Heath from the floor since she knew he'd soon shy away with a stranger around. She doubted he remembered her having been there since interviews with Aeth were intense, but who knew, maybe he did remember her?

Icon looked over hearing someone speak, seeing the blond woman with a small child he presumed to be her son. He looked at her for a moment, then remembered seeing her from before, but briefly. He didn't recall knowing her name, though. "Hello, there. I was looking for the headmaster. Do you know where I might find him?" he smiled.

"Hello, there. I was looking for the headmaster. Do you know where I might find him?" he smiled. Ada smiled, "That would be me since about two weeks ago. Aeth retired back then." She replied smiling and offered her hand to him, "Ada Blair. And this is my youngest munchkin Heath." She introduced herself and her toddler.

Icon smiled, shaking her hand firmly. "Icon White. Nice to meet you both. Hey there big guy," he smiled at Heath. "My apologies, headmistress," he bowed slightly. "Also, my congratulations in your recent promotion, and hopefully the previous headmaster is enjoying their well-deserved retirement. How many years did they work here?"

He smiled, shaking her hand firmly. "Icon White. Nice to meet you both. Hey there big guy," he smiled at Heath who, as suspected, buried his face to her shoulder to hide. "My apologies, headmistress," he bowed slightly. "Also, my congratulations in your recent promotion, and hopefully the previous headmaster is enjoying their well-deserved retirement. How many years did they work here?" Ada smiled and admitted, "Given it's inherited position it's not really a promotion but rather passing the torch to the next successor." She paused for a second then added, "I must admit I'm not sure which year Aeth started as headmaster here but he's 71 now so it was high time for him to quit working and so far he seems to be enjoying the re-found free time." She giggled bit, "Actually I'm not even eligible successor, I'm married to his son but Haine didn't want the position and due that Aeth was planning to close the school down for good so I had to step in to stop that and I guess he trusts me just enough since he agreed to this." She played with a loose hair strand chattering on, "While I have Aeth's blessing most teachers here don't really like me though. Guess it's bit hard to accept that girl you used to teach only ten years ago is suddenly your boss." She sighed then smiled at Icon, "Let's work hard together alright? I'm here for everyone so don't hesitate to come and talk with me if you have something on your heart."

Ada smiled and admitted, "Given it's inherited position it's not really a promotion but rather passing the torch to the next successor." She paused for a second then added, "I must admit I'm not sure which year Aeth started as headmaster here but he's 71 now so it was high time for him to quit working and so far he seems to be enjoying the re-found free time." Icon was surprised to hear that this was more of a 'family business' than anything, but he figured that's the way some places worked. It wasn't unheard of, no. He was curious as to why the former headmaster wouldn't trust her to help out, even as his own son wouldn't. That had to have taken much courage on her part. He knew she would be fine if she was tough enough to keep the school from being closed down.

"Well, I do like you for having the bravery you have just told me so far, Ada. I wish you all the success now and in the future. Despite what others may think of you, I believe you will surprise them yet," he winked at her. "It's not the first time youth has taken the lead and it certainly won't be the last. If I can help you in any way, I will do my best" he nodded.

"Well, I do like you for having the bravery you have just told me so far, Ada. I wish you all the success now and in the future. Despite what others may think of you, I believe you will surprise them yet," he winked at her. "It's not the first time youth has taken the lead and it certainly won't be the last. If I can help you in any way, I will do my best" he nodded. Ada smiled thankful of his kind words. "I'll keep that in mind." She promised then asked, "I'm sorry I didn't come to meet you at the harbor, it completely slipped my mind you'd come today, did you manage finding your house or should I show you the way?" He didn't have any luggage though so she guessed he either had found there himself or had left his bags outside.

"Ok, I'm ready. Shall we go?" Sabre had grabbed her belongings all ready.
“Yeah lets go,” Ava smiled as she walks out from the room.

Ava walks down the corridor thinking of what had happened in the past and yet couldn’t get the thoughts out her head. More screaming was going around in her head, yelling and shouting. A beautiful voice was being played in the background of the screaming. She just wanted to get that thought out her head and continue with her studying, well be able to control her power.
As she enters into the sunlight, the light shines against her skin making it more white then before. Ava looks across the field and sees a spot next to a tree, so she decides to walk over and spreads the blanket on the grass.


He smiled "Well I'll think of something to choose." Emit smiled back as he continued to look forward.

The red haired teacher took over again, “Ok teachers I will take it from here,” She said winking at them. “If you choose I.T. this will be my class, yes know what is this got to do with magic and etc but I will soon show you how we can use technology to help us in our magic skills,” She yelled across the corridor.
“This teacher must love to yell a lot,” He Chuckled
As they continued they walk past so much art work, and mosaic walls. “This school is seriously interesting,” He mumbles as he places his fingers against the tiles on the walls. History was one of Emit’s favourite lessons in school; he used to always enjoy it. Learning about the Romans, Victorian times and etc just all of it made him interested in the topic.
“I can imagine how much history this school has,” He said to himself.

Ada smiled thankful of his kind words. "I'll keep that in mind." She promised then asked, "I'm sorry I didn't come to meet you at the harbor, it completely slipped my mind you'd come today, did you manage finding your house or should I show you the way?" He didn't have any luggage though so she guessed he either had found there himself or had left his bags outside.

Icon shook his head. "No, it was no trouble. The instructions were fine. I'm already set up, but thank you" he nodded. "Were you heading back to your place with your son now? Also, if you don't mind my asking, does your spouse teach here as well?" he wondered, hoping it wasn't too personal of a question.

“Yeah lets go,” Ava smiled as she walks out from the room.

Following the other girl back outside into the beautiful day, Sabre looked over at her and was taken back at she almost looked ethereal in the light right then - absolutely beautiful. She waits til she spreads the blanket out before she walks over to join her setting her sketchbook and supplies down. "Thank goodness everything's starting on a nice day today, huh?" she smiles looking over the landscape taking in the view and knowing from this point on, this is when her life will begin.

“This teacher must love to yell a lot,” Emit chuckled and he did too, funny how he had just thought the same thing.

As they continued they walk Emit traced his fingers against the tiles on the walls mumbling .“This school is seriously interesting, I can imagine how much history this school has,” Emit muttered to himself and Noir nodded, the building really was awesome and he was truly glad he took part to the tour since he would have missed it all.

Soon after they were led outside to see where the teacher houses were and to be shown places like the smoking area, greenhouse, small sunny park and so on. Noir was pretty sure he loved the school already. "Any questions about outside?" some teacher asked and he lifted his hand. When given permission to talk he asked "Are we allowed to go to the greenhouse?" The teacher smiled as she replied, "Of course! That's where most food you eat here is grown and we endorse students taking part into the process. As long as you don't cause problems there you're more than welcome to go in there." Excellent, it looked like he wouldn't have to settle on only taking care of one plant after all~




Icon shook his head. "No, it was no trouble. The instructions were fine. I'm already set up, but thank you" he nodded. "Were you heading back to your place with your son now? Also, if you don't mind my asking, does your spouse teach here as well?" Icon wondered and she smiled, "I was thinking of heading back home to put Heath to nap now yes. He threw a tantrum earlier so I took him here to tire him out but he's starting to nod so I think he's ready for bed." She replied adding, "Haine doesn't teach unless there's an emergency and I need someone to sub. He's basically stay-home daddy since I'm so busy with work and our youngest ones -" she nodded towards Heath -"are still bit too young to survive home together with their older siblings alone." She smiled, "Would you like some tea or coffee? I could introduce you to Haine and my kids since we're sure to bump at each other a lot on this tiny island."

"Thank goodness everything's starting on a nice day today, huh?" she smiles looking over the landscape.
"Oh yes indeed it is a wonderful day to start a year," Ava says as she lays on her back.
As she sits and looks into the tree she sees a few colourful birds tweeting amongst each other.
"Do you think they have finished the tour yet or do you think they are still on it?" Ava asked as she relaxes on the blanket.

She smiled, "I was thinking of heading back home to put Heath to nap now yes. He threw a tantrum earlier so I took him here to tire him out but he's starting to nod so I think he's ready for bed." Icon chuckled. "Yes, for some children it does take a bit to wear down all that energy they possess. My mom said I was like that when I was younger." He was surprised by her asking him to meet her family so soon, but as she said, the island was small and they'd see each other eventually, so why not cut out the guesswork right now while they had the chance, right? "Oh, you needn't fuss over me, but I would be delighted to meet the rest of your family." he told her.

"Hmm...they probably just started a little while ago and probably haven't even gotten to the first classroom - maybe," Sabre giggled. "By the way, what will you be studying while you're here? I'm not sure yet. I'll just start with the basics and go from there I guess," she shrugged reaching for her sketchbook.

Icon chuckled. "Yes, for some children it does take a bit to wear down all that energy they possess. My mom said I was like that when I was younger." Ada smiled, he did look like he had quite much energy even now. "Oh, you needn't fuss over me, but I would be delighted to meet the rest of your family." he told her. She nodded, "It's no bother really, I enjoy having people over and it does good for the kids to meet lots of different people too." She nodded for him to follow and led him to their house, it was bit expanded from the usual teacher house (well it had to be to fit them all in there!) but otherwise pretty much the same. She barely stepped in when her oldest daughter dashed to hug her, "Mama, Aion won't play with me..." She whined and she petted her hair, "Well Aion has homework to do... which reminds me did you finish yours already Aisling?" The look she gave her did hint that no she had skipped that part. Ada sighed, "I'll help you with that in a moment. Before that say hi to Icon, he's going to be teacher at mama's school." Aisling eyed Icon silent for few seconds then flashed him a smile and curtsy* greeting him sweetly, "Nice to meet you Mr. Icon, I'm Aisling."
