“Hey,” Noir greeted, taking the seat next to him. Andy grinned with a lazy smile.
“So, how was your day then yesterday?” he asked “I’m guessing no disasters, people overestimating their powers, people having life-threatening panic attacks in closed spaces on your end … jeez, we really ticked off a list there, didn’t we? Probably best you weren’t there or you’d have discovered your so far unknown power of involuntarily making plants attack and try to kill us all or something …” He shook his head, grinning. “But really though. I’d have asked earlier but
someone felt the need to drag me out of the room then.”

The teacher explained the basics of the class, mainly helping them have more control over their powers it seemed. The first assignment would be to write about their strengths and weaknesses ability wise, as well as a demonstration. Max swallowed. This wasn’t good. Not good at all. She’d never be able to do either of those things without … well. It had never been an issue before. When people didn’t know they couldn’t see anything amiss. But this … there was likely scrutiny involved. She closed her eyes, trying to concentrate on her breathing. Deep and easy, it would be fine. She’d just have to … to talk to the teacher, somehow. Preferably without having a panic attack.
She waited for the rest of the class to leave the room before she went to the front of the room. It probably meant she’d be late to her next class but this was hard enough without an audience. She cleared her throat hesitantly.
“Mr. White …? I, umm … I had a question about the demonstration you were talking about?”
