"Well I won't force you to go somewhere where you'll be uncomfortable nor force you to talk about it, no worries." Max nodded slowly, thankful for Elyssa understanding. She filed the reaction away carefully, possibly to be over-analyzed later. It was a habit she’d grown used to – easier to know which people could be trusted then. Being rejected by her roommate for who she was wasn’t really something she’d like to experience. She threw a sidelong glance at Elyssa, willing the thoughts to disappear. She hated always being like this, hated it. She just hoped Elyssa would continue understanding.
The canteen was quite full when they entered, making Max take a deep breath to calm herself down. Normally, she wasn’t so bothered by this kind of thing. Occasionally she quite liked it, the feeling of just being another face in the crowd. She supposed it must be the completely new environment that kept throwing her, keeping her on edge. Perhaps it was best to just follow Elyssa’s lead and keep quiet. She looked at the other girl uncertainly.

Noir smiled, digging out a folded map from his pocket and showing it to Andy. "Well see yourself, this part and maybe that... you could definitely fit human there. And there are these room sized parts that aren't marked as rooms at all." Andy’s grin widened as he watched Noir point out the places he meant. He’d never have noticed those – or actually looked at the map for that matter.
“Damn, you’re right, how’s that? You think we really could find a way into those places? I mean, any good magic school needs some secrets, right? Uncovering them should be fun … as long as it’s not a chamber of secrets or something, I’d rather not deal with Voldemort and his minions,” he joked. He nudged Noir’s shoulder with his own, smiling. “Nice catch by the way, detective. Maybe I was wrong about your cool backstory and you have awesome secret powers instead?” He winked.
